Description
Maalox Suspension is a treatment that works to reduce the effects of indigestion. The ingredients are antacids, which work to reduce the acidity of stomach acid, in turn helping reduce indigestion, upset stomach, and heartburn.
Usage Instructions:
Shake the bottle well prior to use. Take 10-20ml by mouth, 20 minutes to 1 hour after meals or at bedtime.
Ingredients:
Each 5ml of suspension contains 175mg of aluminium hydroxide and 200mg of magnesium hydroxide as the active ingredients. Other ingredients are: hydrochloric acid, citric acid monohydrate, peppermint oil, mannitol (E421), domiphen bromide, saccharin sodium, sorbitol liquid (E420), hydrogen peroxide and purified water.
Warnings:
Suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over.
Should not be used by anyone allergic to the ingredients. Should not be used if:
- You feel weak and/or have no energy.
- You have kidney problems.
- You have severe stomach pain.
- You have a fully or partially blocked bowel.
If you are using other medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor before using this product.
Side effects may include:
- Constipation
- Diarrhoea
- Abdominal pain
