Mounjaro is a branded name for the weight-loss medication tirzepatide. It is a GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist, meaning that it mimics the effects of GIP and GLP-1 which are hormones that regulate how full we feel. It comes in the form of a pre-filled injector pen, which is self-injected weekly (subject to clinical suitability).
Mounjaro weight-loss injections are used to aid weight loss efforts. It is not intended to be used in and of itself to lose weight and should be used alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise.
