Description
Bell’s Healthcare Children’s Allergy Relief 5mg/5ml Oral Solution relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (for example: hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose and burning or itchy eyes in adults and children over the age of 2 years. The medicine may also be used to help relieve symptoms of urticaria (itching and redness), which is often known as hives or nettle rash.
Usage Instructions
- It is important to know how much your child weighs to make sure that you give the correct amount of medicine. For example, a 9-year-old child weighs about 30 kg (4st 7lb). If in doubt, weigh your child and then follow the instructions on the table.
- Do not give to children under 2 years.
- Water or other liquid is not needed to swallow the medicine.
- The medicine may be taken with or without food.

Ingredients
- Active Ingredient: Loratadine 5mg per 5ml.
- Other Ingredients: Propylene glycol E1520, glycerol (E422), sucrose, citric acid anhydrous, sodium benzoate (E211), artificial peach flavoring, and purified water.
Warnings and precautions
Do not take if:
- You are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients listed for this medicine.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- The child is younger than 2 years old.
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before taking Bell’s Healthcare Children’s Allergy Relief 5mg/5ml Oral Solution:
- if you have liver disease.
- if you are scheduled to have any skin tests for allergies.
Do not take Bell’s Healthcare Children’s Allergy Relief 5mg/5ml Oral Solution for two days before having these tests. This is because it may affect test results.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid the use of Bell’s Healthcare Children’s Allergy Relief 5mg/5ml Oral Solution during pregnancy.
Do not take Bell’s Healthcare Children’s Allergy Relief 5mg/5ml Oral Solution if you are breastfeeding. Loratadine is excreted in breast milk.
Important Information
Loratadine contains: Sucrose, 3.0g of sucrose per 5ml. Inform your doctor before using this product if you have an intolerance to some sugars or diabetes.
