Description
This mouthwash provides medicated relief for mouth and throat infections. It’s antibacterial and helps to relieve gingivitis, mouth ulcers, sore or bleeding gums, bad breath, and sore throat. It can be used before and after dental surgery to help prevent infections.
Usage Instructions:
Suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over.
Shake well before using.
Rinse the mouth and gargle for 30 seconds with at least 15ml (1 tablespoon) of undiluted Oraldene, 2-3 times a day or as otherwise directed.
Ingredients:
Active ingredient: Hexetidine 0.1 g/100 ml. Other ingredients: Polysorbate 80, citric acid, saccharin sodium, levomenthol, eucalyptus oil, ethanol 96%, azorubine (E122) sodium calcium edetate, sodium hydroxide (E524), and purified water.
Warnings:
This product is for topical use only. Do not swallow or take it internally. Do not dilute.
If symptoms persist, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
If the product is accidentally swallowed, contact a doctor or your nearest A&E.
If you forget to take a dose, use the next dose as soon as you remember, unless it is already time to use it again, in which case simply use the next dose. Do not use two quantities at one time.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine if you have ever had a bad reaction to Oraldene or any of its ingredients. Some ingredients can cause issues, such as ethanol (96%) causing irritation or dry skin if frequently applied to skin, or azorubine (E122) causing allergic reactions, including asthma; these reactions are more common in people who are allergic to aspirin.
If you experience the following, stop use of the product and talk to your doctor:
- Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, which may cause difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Allergic reactions including itchy rash
- Irritation, tingling, or numbness of the tongue and/or tissues inside the mouth
- Shortness of breath
- Cough
- Dry mouth
- Feeling sick (nausea)
- Sickness (vomiting)
- Salivary gland enlargement
- Taste disturbance or loss of taste
- Pain, swelling, redness or heat
- Tongue or tooth discolouration
- Blistering or ulceration
Do not use if the bottle seal is broken when purchased.
Do not store above 30°C..
Use within 6 months of opening.
Keep the bottle in the outer carton to protect it from light.
Do not use it if the expiry date has passed.
If you have underlying medical conditions, are taking any other medications or complementary therapy, if symptoms persist, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or suffer from allergies, speak to your doctor.
